- Carbohydrates are different forms of simple sugars conected into polimers

Carbohydrates that do not turn instantly into energy, get stored in the
form of glycogen (joined molecules of glucose) in liver and muscles
- Carbohydrates differ from each other by the speed of entrance into the blood stream- Glycemic indeks (good or bad)
GOOD - low glycemic indeks, they enter blood stream at slower rate and they elevate blood sugar levels fairly slow
BAD -
they usually have high glycemic indeks, they enter blood stream pretty
fast and they elevate blood sugar levels extremly fast and also, they
produce effusive insulin reaction
-So, using carbohydrates with
high glycemic indeks will not only make you gain weight but also, it
will help you maintain that unhealthy state.
